The Sonotal Asil

These Sonotals are the old time family of Red Asils that were bred with such great success by the late Charles Floyd.  Charles Floyd was an old time Asil breeder who lived in Louisiana, U.S.  Many  top breeders use this Sonotal Asil family to this day either known or secretly.  These Asils have been bred for over fifty years to cross over American fowl.  The success of these great Asils are known worldwide.
They are just as good today as they ever were, maybe a shade better.  They weigh around five pounds mature and all are like peas in a pod, in  their appearance.  A beautiful medium red rooster, with yellow legs, pea combs, and medium station.  Many legacies have been written with these Asils, crossed over American fowl.  They are great!

Atkinson Asil- little Spud

These little spud Asils were bred by a man named Keith Barnett in the 1980s.  They were of the Atkinson type of Asil.
Mr. Barnett lived beside a stock market in California near Sacramento,  where he bred these little Asil fowl.
Mr. Barnett went through the pure brood stock every year and bred only the best, through inbreeding, some individuals started to become white.  We also get a white stag or pullet from time to time out of this great family of Asils.
They are called little spuds because of their size, most cocks weigh between 3lbs 8oz to 4lbs 3 oz.  They were originally called potato Asils when Mr. Barnett got them and one day at a show, someone asked Keith “what are those little Asils?”  Instead of saying potato he said little spuds and the name stuck.  They are basically Atkinson Asils.
We have had this family for several years and they are tremendous birds.

Kulang Asil

The condor Kulang Asil is a family of Asils that were bred in the 80s and 90s by the head of the A.A.B.A.  – American Asil Boxing Association.  Their goal was to breed the purest, most physically perfect, pure Indian Asil on earth.  Much time effort, and great expense was put into this breeding effort.  The outcome was the Condor Kulang Asil.  These great birds built a name far and wide among the oriental breeders around the globe.
These are tall perfect built birds that cross well on American fowl.  Pure they are a sight to behold.  They are a great asset to our farm and would make anyone proud to own them.
